This project is a greyscale texture representation of Dadist artist Marcel Duchamp. This pieces utilizes textures in place of values in order to convey the shades of the photograph. There are 9 different patterns in total, ranging from light to dark. This allows the piece, when viewed from farther away, to evoke the feeling of the actual photograph. This brings similar feelings to the famous “Ceci n’est pas une pipe” picture as it is a non-photographical representation of a photograph.
